PHOENIX SKY HARBOR SKY TRAIN

PACO Group was responsible for providing Document Management and Records Management for the Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport Sky Train Project using our web-based ccsNet application, as part of the planned Airport Development Program Team.

The Sky Train System transports passengers between stations at various airport locations, reducing road congestion, pollution, noise, and road deterioration caused by heavy bus traffic.

This is the first location in the world where a rail system of any kind crosses over an active taxiway, and was recognized with an Excellence in Structural Engineering Award from the National Council of Structural Engineers Associations (NCSEA).

Project accomplishments and tasks included:

  • Implementation of an electronic document and records management system
  • Configuring ccsNet to meet project specific organizational structure and requirements
  • Performing electronic tracking, filing, and management of all project documentation, data, and records, including: technical drawings, specifications, cost documents, schedules, and records
  • Developing project specific Document Management and Records Management plans, manuals, and procedures.
